For example, you have a First Amendment right to protest at work. But your employer can fire you for that protest. Both of these things are legal. Keep that in mind anytime youre reading social media posts about the NFL players and their on the job protests that include some players refusing to stand for the national anthem. Respecting the flag, respecting the national anthem, supporting the military and respecting the memory of those who have died for our country are stances that in the long run will always win in the court of public opinion.
